Dear Tahoe Mountain Club Member,

 

As many of you know through first-hand experience, dining at TMC’s mountaintop retreat, Schaffer’s Camp, is truly one of the top dining experiences in our area.  With its premiere location midmountain at Northstar California Resort, our dedicated Crew works endlessly to deliver world-class food and hand-crafted beverages alongside epic views and roaring fireplaces exclusively for our Members and their Guests.

 

Reservations at TMC’s Schaffer’s Camp are highly coveted, with many prime days and Holidays booking up within hours of becoming available and many other days are 100% booked in advance.  Unfortunately, we are experiencing a disappointingly high number of last-minute cancellations and no-shows this season. These late cancellations (less than 24-hours) and no-shows have a direct negative impact to our operations – both from a service and a kitchen prep perspective – as well as the displacement of Members.

 

To support our operations and preserve the Member experience, Tahoe Mountain Club will have the following revised no show/late cancellation policy for our Schaffer’s Camp reservations, effective immediately.

  • LATE CANCELLATIONS / NO SHOWS:  For any confirmed reservation that is cancelled LESS THAN 24 hours from the reservation time, or is a NO SHOW, an automatic $75 reservation fee will be charged to the Member account.
    • Additionally, Members who repeatedly choose not to cancel in advance and/or no-show for a reservation may be blocked from making future reservations.
  • ON-TIME ARRIVALS / CANCELLATIONS BEFORE THE 24-HOUR CUT-OFF:  Members who arrive on time ready to enjoy their Schaffer’s Camp experience or cancel the confirmed reservation MORE THAN 24 hours in advance, will not see any incremental reservation charge.

NOTE:  We understand that plans change, and emergencies arise.  We ask that you simply communicate with us as quickly as you are aware of any delays or deviations from your reservations – especially if you are still planning to attend and are just running late. Our Crew will do their best to accommodate you, however, cannot guarantee a reservation will be held longer than 30 minutes.

 

As a reminder, reservations can be made through our TMC App or through the TMC page on TOCK.  You will be reminded of our late cancellation / no show fee upon time of booking.  You can cancel/change your reservation anytime through our TMC App or online at TOCK, as well as by responding to the confirmation texts and emails that are automatically sent to all confirmed reservations.

 

We have also opened our back deck oasis at Schaffer’s Camp featuring quick, mobile ordering and a select menu for guests to enjoy on a first come, first served basis.  This is a GREAT option for Members who want flexibility and don’t want to set a plan for their day.

 

Schaffer’s Camp is open weekly Thursday through Monday for drop-in hot beverage service from 10am – 11am, and full-service indoor dining or outdoor back deck dining from 11am – 2:30pm.
