Created with our tween/teen Members in mind, our Peak Pursuit Summer Experiences will Unlock (parent-free) Unforgettable Mountain Moments for teens this summer! Each week will feature a new adventure, new experiences, and new friends!

Join us for an unforgettable adventure you’ll never forget on majestic Lake Tahoe Discovery Kayaking Tour, hosted by Tahoe Adventure Company. This thrilling excursion is perfect for teens eager to explore the beauty of the lake while learning the art of kayaking, then enjoy a beachside deli lunch following your morning paddle. Don’t miss this out on this amazing opportunity to explore one of the most breathtaking destinations in the world while experiencing the excitement of kayaking with fellow teens!

7/25/2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Tour is from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, lunch will be served 12:00-1:00 PM)

Location:
Tahoe Adventure Company: Located in North Lake Tahoe on the beach in Tahoe Vista Recreation Area, 7010 North Lake Blvd, Tahoe Vista, California

Details:

  • Please meet at the Tahoe Vista Recreation Center by 9:45am for a 10:00am tour.
  • Ages 12 and up (per Tahoe Adventure Company guidelines).
  • $75 per person, includes equipment rental and deli lunch.
  • What to bring: reusable water bottle, sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), hat with a brim, sunglasses w/holder, water shoes, swimsuit or swim trunks, fleece jacket or sweater and a dry change of clothes, beach towel.
  • RSVP required.
  • This is a public tour, so we will be with other participants.

Directions from Old Greenwood: Take Overland Trail to I-80. Merge onto I-80 W toward Sacramento. Take Exit 188 for CA-89/CA-267 toward Sierraville/Lake Tahoe. Turn Left onto CA-267 E/CA–89 S. Continue to follow CA-267 for about 12 miles. Turn Right onto N Lake Blvd. Destination will be on the Left. 7010 N Lake Blvd. Tahoe Vista, CA 96148

Inclement Weather/Smoke:

Camp days with inclement weather or an AQI of 150+ are subject to cancellation. AQI levels will be monitored from the Old Greenwood sensor on PurpleAir.com.

Sick Policy:
Please do not send your child to camp if he or she is not feeling well. If a child becomes sick during camp, the staff will contact a parent to arrange for immediate pick-up.

Emergency Procedures:
Upon registration of a camper, parents are asked to provide detailed information concerning the health of their child. In case of an emergency, parents and/or emergency contact will be notified. In case of serious medical emergency, a Pavilion staff member will escort the child to the nearest medical facility for treatment.

Member Charge Authorization:
By RSVPing for an event, you agree to have your Tahoe Mountain Club Member account charged for the full amount due. Members with ACH billing setup will see the charge reflected on their monthly bill. Members who do not have ACH setup will be asked for a credit card upon arrival to the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to the nature of events, we ask that you commit to your reservation so that we can accommodate as many Members as possible and honor our commitment to vendors and other departments who are supporting the event. All events have a one week cancellation policy, where Tahoe Mountain Club Members are subject to being charged in-full for an event if they do not show at the event or cancel within the given time frame.

Guest Policy

Please refer to above policy to see if guests are permitted at this event. Members will be responsible for paying any applicable guest fees in addition to the cost of the event ticket.
